HORIBA offers an innovative and unique modular concept for online water analyzers which allows integration of various technologies in one analyzer. Combining the strength of different technics, you can integrate up to 7 optical parameters and up to 12 probes or I/O modules in the same analyzer. This helps to optimize measurment tasks, service and regular maintenance.
The analyzer platform offers the possibility to implement different measurement techniques. From normal probes, UV spectroscopy, nephelometry, colorimetry or specialized methods such as gas stripping for the measurement of ammonia or hydrogen sulphide, you can choose the parameter you need for your application.
When different streams need to be analyzed, for example inlet and outlet of a plant, an optional multiplexing system delivers relay contacts to control external electric-valves or external pumps.
A key for successful measurement in high suspended solids, salts and oily sample application: UV500 and UV300 series analyzers are designed to automatically clean themselves with an adjustable time range, using 5% H2SO4. This automatic cleaning proves to be more efficient than water or air auto-cleaning for dirty and oily samples. It prevents clogging in the hydraulic circuit from heavily charged water sample. This automatic cleaning design enables less interrupted measurement and low maintenance.
The patented flow cell allows to measure very high level of suspended solids with less clogging, making it suitable for industrial and municipal waste water applications without additional filtration.
The design with two cylinders enables the water to go around them, avoiding suspended particles to agglomerate and interfere with the optical measurements. The turbidity can be compensated by a dual-wavelength method.
The wetted parts of the flow cell make it also suitable for most corrosive samples.

The UV-500 is a multi parameter analyzer that can be equipped with a maximum of 16 measuring parameters. Maximum 7 optical parameters among UV254 (COD, BOD, TOC), Nitrate, Polyaromatic hydrocarbon, color, turbidity, colorimetry, Ammonia or Hydrogen Sulfide.
Maximum 12 external probes (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorine,…). Also available in ATEX configuration.
The Compact version of the UV-500 has the same functionality, but less capability of optical devices. With a maximum of 5 optical parameters among UV254 (COD, BOD, TOC), Nitrate, Polyaromatpic hydrocarbon, color, turbidity, colorimetry.
Maximum 12 external probes (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorine,…).
This smaller version of the UV-500 can be equipped with up to 2 optical parameters among UV254 (COD, BOD, TOC), Nitrate, polyaromatic hydrocarbon, color, Internal turbidity, colorimetry and a maximum of 12 external probes (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorine,…).
The EL-300 is a controler that can handle up to 14 external probes (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorine,…) but no optical parameter.
The EL-200 is a controler that can handle up to 6 external probes (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorine,…) but no optical parameter.
