Monitoring organic contamination by measuring the TOC of pure and ultrapure water is a basic requirement for quality assurance in microelectronic and pharmaceutical production. Water in power plants and the chemical industry also increasingly require online monitoring of this parameter. In order to detect problems in these sensitive areas at an early stage, a rapid response from the monitoring systems is the most important prerequisite. TOC sensors based on UV oxidation and conductivity detection are ideally suited for this purpose.
